Wood Distressing

Surface finishing of your wood flooring, molding or siding is being done by using a wire filled brush to remove the soft material between the grains. Abrasive impregnated nylon filled brushes are being used to get a softened or sanded appearance.
a. Roughing – Roughing is obtained by using wire filled brushes with different stiffness’s to get your desired effect. Again you want minimum interference to prolong the life of your brush.
b. Sanding – To obtain a sanded effect brushes filled with either silicon carbide or aluminum oxide impregnated nylon are available in various grit sizes and rated much like sandpaper.
